New study shows:

KSM66 improves sleep and reduces anxiety

In September 2019, the first pure sleep study on KSM66 - an organic full spectrum extract of Ashwagandha - was published. Previous studies onKSM66 have shown, among other things, a normalization of the stress hormone cortisol, less stress, worry and anxiety.

In Ayurveda, the world's oldest medicine, sleep deprivation and anxiety are some of the major uses of Ashwagandha. This is underlined by the fact that the Latin name of the herb is Withania Somnifera, which means 'the herb that gives sleep'.

Despite its name, Ashwagandha does not affect 'sleepiness' like Valerian, Hops or Melissa. Instead, Ashwagandha helps the body to relax - making it easier to sleep.

To scientifically confirm the traditional uses, the now published double-blind, placebo-controlled and randomized study was conducted.

FALLING ASLEEP, SLEEP QUALITY, WORRY AND ANXIETY

60 men and women aged 18-60 years were included in the 10-week study. All participants were diagnosed with sleep problems.

The dose used was one capsule of KSM66 morning and evening (2x300 mg), or alternatively a placebo.

The main parameters studied were: time to fall asleep, sleep quality, waking up during the night, worry, anxiety and mental capacity.

Results: All studied parameters were improved in the KSM66 group. The ability to fall asleep was improved by 44% compared to 23% in the placebo group, the number of awakenings during the night was reduced by 30% compared to 10% in the placebo group.

None of the participants experienced any side effects.

KSM66 FACTS: The first study on KSM66 was published in 2012, since then another 20 double-blind, randomized and placebo-controlled studies have been conducted, of which 12 have been published - the rest are expected to be published in 2019/2020.

The studies conclude that the dietary supplement KSM66 has a good effect on e.g.: worry, anxiety, exercise, sexual dysfunction, poor sperm mobility, memory, PMS, menopausal problems and thyroid imbalance - well-documented uses in Ayurvedic medicine.

All of the above indications have one thing in common - they are caused or exacerbated by stress. What KSM66 does is increase the body's resistance to stress by normalizing the body's stress system (HPA axis). As the adrenal glands rest, the amount of stress hormone is normalized and the body can begin to recover. A positive spiral starts.
