KSM66 & curaMIN - guaranteed free of ETO. Each batch is analyzed by a third party.

Press release regarding the discovery of ETO (ethylene oxide) in ashwagandha sold in Sweden.

ETO is a transparent gas mainly used to sterilize equipment in the pharmaceutical industry and to kill microbes in heat-sensitive foods, such as herbs. While ETO is classified as a carcinogen and is banned in the EU, it is used in Asia and elsewhere to reduce the incidence of salmonella. In the EU, the tolerance for ETO in food is zero.

‍KSM66and curaMIN are guaranteed to be ETO-free.

KSM66 is manufactured by the family business Ixoreal in Hyderabad. All the raw material (ashwagandha) is grown on the company's own organically certified farms in Rajasthan (north-west India). Similarly, curaMIN is produced by a family business in Kerala - with full control from seed to finished extract.

Of course, ETO is not used in production - but to ensure that there is no cross-contamination, the extracts are always tested.

Before the finished extract is released from the companies, a CoA (Certificate of Analysis) is issued. The inspection is always done by an independent third party.

CoA guarantees that the extract contains the correct level of active substances and is free of heavy metals, pesticides, mold, microbes, etc. This analysis includes ETO (ethylene oxide).
